Presbyterians have worshiped in the city since 1642. The first church within the wallls, founded in 1690, was replaced by the present building in 1780. The recently restored church, reopened in May 2011, reflects many unique 18th century Presbyrerian features. A newly opened Blue coat visitor centre to the rear of the church develops themes such as the ancient links between North West Ulster and Scotland, Defending Derry's Walls, spreading the Word and First Derry in the 20th Century.
